Alert: Measles Update February 2024

You may be aware that there have been reports of measles outbreaks in areas across the country. Whilst there is not currently a specific outbreak in Wakefield you may wish to catch up on missing vaccinations.

NHS England are running a national campaign to prioritise those aged 6 years to 11 years, so you may receive a text or letter directing you to the surgery.

Please contact the surgery to book an appointment with a practice nurse if you wish to have this done. The vaccination is also available for anybody who has not previously received two doses.

Thank you
